ISTE

IC3 Digital Literacy Global Standard Five and Global Standard Six meet the alignment requirements for both teachers and students to have been awarded an ISTE Seal of Alignment. The International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) is the creator and steward of the definitive education technology standards in the United States.  ISTE’s mission is to empower learners to flourish in a connected world by cultivating a passionate professional learning community, linking educators and partners, leveraging knowledge and expertise, advocating for strategic policies, and continually improving learning and teaching. ISTE and JVIDÊÓƵ have formed a strategic alliance to provide assessment tools for ISTE's widely adopted National Educational Technology Standards (NETS).

The American Council on Education (ACE)

The American Council on Education (ACE) is the USA's unifying voice for higher education. ACE serves as a consensus leader on key higher education issues and seeks to influence public policy through advocacy, research, and program initiatives. IC3 has earned an ACE credit recommendation for college education in general education or computing literacy. From this, students can seek credit from more than 1,800 accredited, degree-granting colleges, universities, and other education-related organizations that are members of ACE.

National Coalition of Certification Centers

The National Coalition of Certification Centers (NC3) is committed to collaborating with industry partners and educational institutions to promote industry-recognized certifications. The NC3 network recognizes the criticality of digital literacy in the workplace and the value of IC3 Digital Literacy certification as a credential that will make students more productive for jobs in their chosen field.

SkillsUSA

SkillsUSA is the largest US based vocational skills competition. Over 350,000 US students compete every year in one of the 99 career based competitions. There is no comparable organization in the US. The endorsement of IC3 as part of the SkillsUSA Technical Computer Applications validates that IC3 is the right foundation level certification for digital skills.

Global Digital Literacy Council

The Global Digital Literacy Council serves as an advisory body and as an authoritative voice on issues driving the development and implementation of global digital literacy standards and systems around the world. The IC3 standard results from periodic reviews by the Global Digital Literacy Council (GDLC) and recommendations from members of the council, to better attack the challenge of digital literacy needs at several levels. The council is made up of industry professionals, government leadership, and academicians who have a strong presence in digital literacy concerns worldwide.

Digcomp

IC3 Digital Literacy is mapped to and aligned with the European Commission’s Digital Competence Framework for Citizens (DigComp). DigComp is a tool to support a common understanding of digital competences to enable people to develop digital competences to support their employability. This reference framework sets out 21 competences, grouped in five key areas, to describe what it means to be digitally competent.

Being digitally competent is more than being able to use the latest device or software. Digital competence is a key transversal competence that means being able to use digital technologies in a critical, collaborative and creative way. DigComp asks people to think about a range of issues such as storing information, protecting digital identity, developing digital content, and behavior online. .

Meta

Meta recognizes IC3 Digital Literacy as a global digital skill standard that prepares learners with foundational knowledge needed to pursue the Meta Digital Marketing Associate certification.

Romanian Government Recognizes IC3

IC3 Digital Literacy GS5 is recognized by the Ministry of Education as equivalent to the compulsory Digital Competence examination (Examen de competenÈ›e digital) that forms part of the National Baccalaureate examination (taken by all Grade 12 high school students). Students who gain IC3 certification are therefore exempt from the Baccalaureate Digital Competence examination. This “equivalence” recognition was gained after it was demonstrated that the objective domains of IC3 more than matched those of the Ministry’s Digital Competence examination.

Italian Ministry of Education recognizes IC3

IC3 is listed as state-recognized title that is required in tenders and in recruitment calls for teachers and state administrative staff as well as a number of other profiles. Candidates know that having IC3 very concretely improves their employability by providing them with more points than a candidate without certification.

Polish Government Recognizes IC3

The Polish Government has recognized IC3 as a certificate that meets their requirements for implementing continuing education support. Because IC3 is mapped to DigComp, it is a qualification eligible for funding from the Polish government through the European Social Funds.

Digital Economy Promotion Agency (DEPA)

The Digital Economy Promotion Agency in Thailand has accredited the IC3 Digital Literacy certification. It has been formally endorsed by DEPA as a certification that helps develop IT skills for students and in the workforce across Thailand. The Digital Economy Promotion Agency’s mission is to promote and support the development of digital skills and works to upskill and reskill the Thai workforce at basic, intermediate, and advanced levels.

Thailand Professional Qualification Institute (TPQI)

The Thailand Professional Qualification Institute has recognized the IC3 Digital Literacy Certification as an international digital literacy standard included on its Digital Literacy Competency Framework for Levels 1 through 3. The TPQI is a national organization that is responsible for evaluating the performance of workforce personnel according to professional standards in their respective fields.

e.Oman

Oman's Information & Technology Authority Implements Digital Literacy Training and Certification for Civil Service Workforce. ITA and Global Skills (a JVIDÊÓƵ Solution Provider) provide digital literacy training and/or certification to 93,507 civil service employees under the Government IT Training & Certification (GITTC) Project.

Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research

The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research approved the IC3 exam as a requirement for all postgraduate applicants in Iraq. This program of graduate student training and certification continues today with tens of thousands of exams being delivered in Iraq each year.

Qatar University

Qatar University Implements IC3 Digital Literacy exams to assess incoming student computing skills. IC3 helps measure the principles of the Computer Program, and allows the QUFP to simplify the exam administration and process results quickly with an online format. The QUFP has administered the IC3 exam to more than 9,000 students.

Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (Saudi Arabia)

The Technical and Vocational Training Corporation in Saudi Arabia has endorsed the IC3 Digital Literacy certification as being equivalent to the Introduction to Computer Application class (course 101) in all technical colleges.

Arab Administrative Development Organization (ARADO)

The Arab Administrative Development Organization (ARADO) is a leading non-profit organization affiliated with the League of Arab States, which was founded in 1961 with the mandate of promoting and advancing administrative development in the Arab region. ARADO has endorsed IC3 as the standard for its Digital Literacy training programs in multiple Arab countries, including Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Syria, and others.

Digital Skills for Jobs Coalition

JVIDÊÓƵ is a member of the European Commission’s Digital Skills and Jobs Coalition.  This initiative is designed to mobilize all types of organizations in Europe to ensure that everyone can get the digital skills they need for life, for education, for employment and for IT professional careers. JVIDÊÓƵ has committed to tackle the lack of digital skills in Europe by making a pledge in support of the four aims: digital skills for all, digital skills for the labor force, digital skills for professionals and digital skills in education.  The IC3 program is integral to this pledge.

UNESCO

UNESCO’s ‘Global Framework of Reference on Digital Literacy Skills’ aims to develop an indicator to measure progress against the Sustainable Development Goal on the percentage of youth/adults who have achieved at least a minimum level of proficiency in digital literacy skills.  IC3 has been highlighted in their recent report as one of the leading global programme, recognized as the digital skills framework 13 countries, that contributes to this goal.  IC3 is active in 147 countries around the world and fully supports the Sustainable Development Goals education aims.
